Christopher K. Herron is the Boyle County Attorney. He was sworn in as the Boyle County Attorney on January 7, 2019,
The Boyle County Attorney’s office has always strived to be “fair” but “firm.” Our mission is for Boyle County to be one of the safest counties in the state to live, work, and raise a family. Misdemeanors and felonies begin in District Court under our authority. We prosecute all misdemeanors, and we send felonies to the grand jury for potential indictment through conducting “probable cause” preliminary hearings. The Boyle County Attorney’s Office seeks justice for all victims of crime. Additionally, we protect children from dependency, abuse, and/or neglect. Truancy regarding child attendance at school is prosecuted to the fullest. Through our child support office we establish paternity for children and collect and enforce the payment of child support so they may thrive. We handle adult guardianship and Casey’s Law cases. Finally, we act as legal advisor and provide guidance to the Boyle Fiscal Court and all County offices and boards in order to promote economic growth and service to our community.
